Green Policy
Cable Management Products Limited with facilities in Coleshill and Newtown, design, manufacture and sell a range of electrical conduits, associated fittings and electrical wiring accessories. The company recognises that its products, activities and services can have an impact upon the environment, whether adverse or beneficial. It believes that managing the environmental impacts of its activities and general concern for the environment is an integral part of sound business practice. The company will establish, maintain and audit an environmental management system, designed to control and minimise those aspects that have a significant impact on the environment. This policy will be implemented through the following principles:
- Ensuring continual improvement in environmental performance through the establishment of clearly defined objectives and targets that address the environmental issues relevant to the company’s operations.
- Conducting all operations to comply with the applicable legal and regulatory framework and other requirements to which the company subscribes.
- Preventing pollution and reducing the consumption of resources (energy, fuel, water, packaging and materials) wherever practicable and appropriate.
- Progressively reducing the waste generated by the company’s operations, promoting recycling or reuse, and ensuring that unusable waste is disposed of as safely as possible.
- Ensuring environmental issues are considered in the design of new products and the introduction of new processes, services or facilities, in order to minimise adverse impacts and improve environmental performance.
- Responding to the valid concerns of neighbouring communities.
- Providing support, information and training to company staff with respect to environmental matters.
- Being prepared for environmental incidents or emergencies.
- Encouraging contractors, suppliers and other business associates to develop a similarly concerned approach to protection of the environment.
- Making appropriate resources available to ensure that this policy is fully implemented and maintained.
- Ensuring that all staff are made aware of their responsibilities towards the safeguarding of their working environment and the natural environment by following company procedures, standards and good practices, together with reporting any deficiencies to the appropriate level of management.
